Frequently asked questions

The examiners at Watermaths have developed their lessons in line with Edexcel, AQA and OCR for both GCSE and the International GCSE Mathematics qualification. With each lesson you will see a key for the different examining boards.
GCSE mathematics is taught in most UK schools. Since the Governmental curriculum changes, in 2014, GCSE maths has some Advance Level mathematics topics included.

The International GCSE is a qualification recognised internationally and can be studied by students across the globe. The amount of Advance Level content included, is slightly more than in the GCSE qualification.

Both examinations are marked in the same way. Only 1 mark is awarded for the correct answer (approx. 28%), the rest of the marks are for the method used to get the answer (approx. 72%).

Our students at Watermaths are taught exactly how to access that 72% of method/ communication marks!
The monthly plans allow you access to a whole host of lessons and activities to develop your child’s mathematical ability. The monthly membership can be cancelled at any time. The yearly membership comes with a 10% discount.
